Words from the Mayor of Székesfehérvár

The most prestigious event of Székesfehérvár, with its history of fourteen years, is the Royal Days International Folk Dance Festival. In a short time the festival has become very much appreciated, moving crowds and providing quality entertainment. For over a decade we had the pleasure to get acquainted with the culture, music and dances of several nations. The historic atmosphere of our city is livened by the enthusiastic audience and the colourful crowd of guests.

Entertainment is very important but there are hundreds of ways to entertain citizens. I am assured that years ago we have selected the best of all events.
The folk dance festival is a worthy event connected to the festivities of the foundation of state. The city of St. Stephen is the symbol of history and continuity but not only in its past but also in its traditions and educational values.

I am assured that this year’s festival will become a memorable experience with the help of dancers visiting from various parts of the world. I hope all participants will enjoy the hospitality of the citizens of Székesfehérvár, and of course, we hope you will revisit our town soon.
